About Teafloww: Tea Culture, Curiosity and Bengal
What Teafloww stands for: regional tea curiosity, transparent information and practical everyday brewing.
About Teafloww
Teafloww is built around a simple idea: tea is most interesting when we understand both **where it comes from** and **how people enjoy it**. In West Bengal, those stories meet in the same cup—from the gardens of Darjeeling, Dooars and the Terai to the busy conversations of a Kolkata adda.
A tea identity inspired by Bengal
There is no single “Bengali tea”. For some people, cha means a strong simmered milk tea. For others, it means a sharp, fragrant lemon tea without milk. Season and place add further variety: nolen gur evokes winter, while Gondhoraj citrus transforms a clear hot or iced cup.
Our editorial work explores these contrasts. We explain regional styles, flavour ingredients and brewing methods rather than presenting an imaginary estate story as fact.
Our three principles
1. Flavour should make sense
A blend needs balance. It should tell you what kind of cup to expect, which ingredients create that taste and whether it suits milk, clear infusion or iced preparation.
2. Provenance needs evidence
A reference to Darjeeling, Dooars, Assam or the Terai should be meaningful. A named tea estate, season, grade, certification or garden lot is a product claim, not an adjective to add casually. Such details need supply records and verification before they belong on a product page.
3. Brewing advice should be useful
We aim to answer the questions people actually ask: Which tea works with milk? Why is chai too bitter? How do you make lebu cha without curdling? How should tea be stored through the monsoon?
What you will find here
Teafloww’s journal contains practical preparation guides, comparisons between tea styles, and introductions to distinctive Bengal-inspired flavours. The retail collection will show accurate pack sizes, ingredients, pricing and availability only when those details have been confirmed.
Our approach to claims
We do not invent reviews, medical outcomes, origin certifications, test results or shelf-life periods. Blend concepts are identified as concepts until ready for commercial sale.
